ABSTRACT

 

Pathogenic fungi can infect seeds internally and destroy the endosperm and the embryo or contaminate the seeds and affect seedling germination and development. This paper was undertaken to detect the fungal pathogens in bean seeds by used PDA method and their biological control in vitro by used Trichoderma viride. Trichoderma viride was proved as an effective biocontrol agent against Botrytis cinerea (Pers), Macrophomina phaseolina (Tassi) and Rhizoctonia solani (Kuhn) In this step, the maximum and minimum inhibitory effect was recorded 93.8%, 72.7% and 72.2% Trichoderma showed mycoparasitism and destructive control against the tested fungal pathogens
