ABSTRACT


Photocatalytic degradation of Brilliant Green dye was studied under solar light irradiation in presence of (ZnO/CeO2) coupled nanocomposite used as photocatalyst. Theprepared samples were characterized by SEM and XRD analyses. The effects of operational parameters like initial concentration of dye, amount of catalyst, irradiation time and pH have been studied. The photocatalytic efficiency of (ZnO/CeO2) was compared with bare ZnO and bare CeO2. The observed results indicated that (ZnO/CeO2) was suppresses the recombination of electron-hole pair and improves the photocatalytic efficiency of ZnO and CeO2.
